When Abdul Rahim, Managing Director of Management Consultancy Firm Platinumlinks Ltd started his company, he was operating as a one-man business out of a business incubator unit located at Knowledge Dock. Abdul was very keen to locate his business at Knowledge dock because of the vast amount of business opportunities that existed stemming from the all regeneration activities that were happening in the region.

Richard Edward was founded in 1976 as an owner managed company offering quality print services to corporate clients. The company was a fully integrated provider of printing services and focuses on providing high quality print for blue chip companies, SME businesses, local and central government, educational institutions and health authorities. It also undertakes a wide range of other services that run the gamut from business orientated printing to educational games.

The Satsuma Consultancy was established in 2000 offering marketing, business development and communications services to commercial and public sector organisations. The Satsuma Consultancy is a versatile business and often works with a wide range of commercial clients operating in a variety of sectors including publishing, broadcasting, design and banking. Its public sector clients include local authorities, universities and business support agencies.

World InfoComms Ltd founded in 1999, publishes Connect-World, a magazine specialising in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) issues. The magazine is produced in six regions including Africa and the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Europe, India, Latin America and North America. It provides a forum for policy makers and other key players in the ICT industry, offering in-depth analysis and information on ICT issues.

East London Inventors Club member Mike Keenan was on top of the world after being awarded the Grand Prix Award, plus five other category awards, for his revolutionary fire retardant materials at INPEX 2004, the world's biggest invention and new product exposition held recently in Pittsburgh, USA. Mike was singled out from over 1,500 inventors from 32 countries to win the overall prize for the world's best invention.
