The Shell Step Programme is the UK’s leading provider of tailored placement projects for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), linking the wealth of talent in the student population with the exciting potential of the SME business sector.
Every year over a thousand bright undergraduates make a direct contribution to the development of participating businesses and community organisations through Shell Step projects.
The programme draws upon second year and penultimate undergraduates of the highest calibre to research, create and deliver a range of business or technical projects as defined by the needs of each and every company.
Established as a cost-effective solution for businesses, Shell Step draws quality students from all academic disciplines for any industry sector, to commit themselves to the company projects over an eight-week summer period, on a full-time basis.
The placement programme has long communicated to SMEs the hugely positive impact an undergraduate can have on their business, whilst encouraging undergraduates to consider a career within the dynamic and thriving SME business sector.
2006 saw Knowledge Dock awarded for the second year running ‘Best Agency in London and the South East’ and ‘Best New Agency’ in 2003 whilst new team member Richard Keenan won the national “Agency of the Year 2006” award, establishing ourselves as a leading Shell Step agency.
