Eight enterprising UEL graduates are celebrating after being awarded £1,500 from the Haberdashers' New Entrepreneurs Fund, recently established to allow UEL students and graduates to develop innovative business ideas.

A University of East London (UEL) student has won £10,000 to start up his own business after the Dragons Den finale of UELs E-Factor Business Plan Competition, held at the Knowledge Dock Centre at UELs Docklands Campus on Wednesday 7 March.

Staff and students at the University of East London welcomed Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh for the official opening of UEL's new Business School and Knowledge Dock Centre on Friday 16 February.

Trade development for womens enterprise in London and around the world was the focus of a major conference held at the University of East London (UEL) Docklands Campus on Friday 6 October. Around 60 delegates, including High Commissioners and leading figures from the world of business, banking and finance, attended the event at the Knowledge Dock Centre.
